Welcome to my Blog

Hi my name is Kara Sanchez and I am pursuing my masters degree in learning, design and technology at Central Michigan University. I graduated from Alma College in 2016 with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching at Shepherd Elementary for the last four years. I have taught in a few different grade levels including fifth grade, second grade, and fourth grade. I have enjoyed teaching each grade level as they have all brought their own fun experiences and challenges, but I have really enjoyed teaching fourth grade. I live in Mt. Pleasant with my husband and two miniature doxies. We both are avid runners and enjoy challenging each other. I have run three marathons and hope to run more in the future! 

I am excited for EDU 642 because I am really interested to learn more about multimedia design. As I am currently creating tons of online content for my online students, I would love to have more tips and tricks in my toolbox to create content that will engage learners and will also be meaningful to their learning. I am looking forward to working with my cohort in this next course!
