I started teaching at Shepherd soon after college and while at Shepherd Elementary, I have taught fifth grade, second grade, and fourth grade. I am the head of our literacy committee for our grade level and have numerous training in ELA practices. Our school also has 1:1 Chromebook technology for all of our students in our K-5 building.

STUDENT TEACHING, BRECKENRIDGE ELEMENTARY

During my time in student teaching, I taught in a self-contained second grade classroom. Some highlights of this experience was creating and publishing a class book on their writing pieces of what they want to be when they grow up. We also utilized our 1:1 Chromebook technologies to supplement math practices and to publish writing pieces.

EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDENT TEACHING, LUCE ROAD ELEMENTARY

For my eight week early childhood teaching experience, I worked in a Great Start Readiness Program. During this time, I created all lessons, planned centers, and learned more about the certifications and licensure of an early childhood classroom.
